Frodshams Solicitors Join Dementia Friendly Campaign
Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, talks, and acts about the condition. The charity wants to encourage as many Dementia Friends as possible to get involved to help people with dementia feel understood and included in their community.
Speaking about the session, Annie Attwood said: ‘It was brilliant to see Frodshams Solicitors showing their support for people with dementia and developing their understanding of some of the challenges people affected by dementia face day-to-day. We need to create more communities and businesses that are dementia-friendly so that people affected by dementia feel understood and included.’
Frodshams Solicitors have been generously supporting the work of Alzheimer’s Society since July 2021 by offering discounted Will-writing to clients who have been referred by Alzheimer’s Society’s Will to Remember scheme, and sought to increase their understanding of the needs of clients with dementia through offering Dementia Friends sessions to staff.
Carly Madsen of Frodshams Solitors said ‘I wanted to become a Dementia Friend Because I wanted to learn how to better support my clients who are living with dementia. I’m so proud to be part of a growing network of people helping to create dementia-friendly communities. ‘
Amanda Woods, Managing Director of Frodshams Solicitors said, ‘The Dementia Friends programme is an excellent initiative. Here at Frodshams Solicitors each of our clients is unique with differing needs and so this programme helps our team to truly understand the challenges that people affected by dementia face. This enables us to bring care, compassion, and support. We are so proud to support the Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme.’
